About the Author
Dr. Natarajan Meghanathan is a tenured Associate Professor of Computer Science at Jackson State University, Jackson, MS. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Dallas in May 2005. Dr. Meghanathan has published more than 140 peer-reviewed articles (more than half of them being journal publications). He has also received federal education and research grants from the U. S. National Science Foundation, Army Research Lab and Air Force Research Lab. Dr. Meghanathan has been serving in the editorial board of several international journals and in the Technical Program Committees and Organization Committees of several international conferences. His research interests are Wireless Ad hoc Networks and Sensor Networks, Graph Theory, Network and Software Security, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. Yenumula B. Reddy, Professor, IEEE Senior Member, IARIA Fellow and program coordinator of Computer Science, Grambling State University. His research contributions span a number of areas including wireless communications, sensor networks, and applications of game models, neural networks, and genetic algorithms to wireless networks. He is one of the editors of SENSORCOMM 2011, associate editor of ITNG 2009-2012 proceedings and associate editors of the book Soft Computing Applications in Industry. He is editorial board member of Journal BITM Transactions on EECC, SATCCN, IJSPTM, MASAUM Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences (MJEAS), and International Journal of Engineering and Industries (IJEI). Dr. Reddy is review Committee member of journals IEEE-TVC, IEEE-TVT, Journal of High performance Computing, and Journal of Communications. He is program Committee member of many conferences including SENSORCOMM (IARIA) and ICN (IARIA). He is Program Committee Chair of ITNG 2013. He has successful funding record from the federal and state grants (USA).

Now I'm ready to start!

As someone who is going to launch business consulting startup in the coming months, I feel a sound knowledge of project management is a necessity. As I did not have prior knowledge of this, starting from the scratch was the only option. And time was a factor as well – doing an online course, for example, would’ve taken not less than four months, committing which was not feasible. So the only option for me was to search for a good guide for beginners. Thankfully, browsing through kindle books on the subject helped me find this book rather quickly. Every phase and tool of project management has been explained meticulously, and two of the project methodologies – waterfall and agile – has been discussed in depth. It’s great to know that the other ones will be expounded in a follow-up publication. I’m also eagerly waiting for the next volume as well.

As Project Manager for the past 30 years and now retired, I downloaded this Guide to see if it contained the crucial concepts and practical tips a beginner in the business would find useful. Lo and behold, it did! The Guide is well-written. Most importantly, it takes the beginner through the concepts and practicalities of in-the-trench Project Management. All of the major features of what a Project Manager does on a daily basis are lined out in an easily accessible format including what to look out for in terms of the pitfalls and problems associated with project execution. All in all, a very good read and chock full of good information for the beginner Project Manager.

When brothers Michel and Albert Roux launched London's Le Gavroche in 1967, it was just another outpost of French cuisine on the English side of the Channel. By 1981 the restaurant had moved from Chelsea to Mayfair, garnered three Michelin stars, and become London' finest and most expensive dining establishment. Other chefs and restaurants followed, and now London's food is quite as good as Paris'. Michel Jr. has set down his father's and uncle's recipes. Le Gavroche Cookbook documents some of the restaurant's greatest achievements, including the legendary Souffle Suissesse, ethereal islands of cheese and egg floating in rich cream. A serious book for serious cooks

Established in 1967 by brothers Michel and Albert Roux, Le Gavroche once and for all knocked soundly on the head the internationally-held notion that there was no good food to be had in Britain. Of course, there are some who still believe that, but these are also the kind of people who believe that the earth is flat.
Since their publication of New Classic Cuisine in the late 1970s, the Roux Brothers have been household names in Europe. When I was just beginning to seriously expand my culinary horizons in the early 80s, this book was the Bible. To a large extent, it still is. Fads come and go, but for me, there will never be a replacement for New Classic Cuisine.
This excellent new book by Albert Roux’s son, Michel, who has been running Le Gavroche kitchen since the early 1990s, is a worthy addition to the Roux Brothers' culinary canon. No one has ever accused the Roux Brothers of being shy or self-effacing: they know their place in the here and now, and are doubtless confident of their place in history. Michel Jr. is equally certain of his greatness: witness the celebrity autographs which crowd the end papers of this handsome volume, and the cartoon rendition of the chef’s bearded visage fired onto every presentation plate that is put before a diner. Vanity or good humor? It’s probably not worth arguing over, because the food is really all that matters. With cuisine as exciting as this, one can forgive all kinds of egotism.
This excellent book is divided into seasons. Many of the ingredients are hard to find, especially in the United States, and would require a special effort to locate. That’s the nature of this kind of cookery, though. If you want to eat the best food, you need to order the finest ingredients. Many of the recipes are complicated, and require considerable experience, so this is definitely not a book for beginners.
Stylistically, the cuisine represented here is an innovative blend of classic Gavroche infused with a healthy dollop of Pacific Rim, fusion-style cooking. Modernist dishes like pan-fried foie gras with spiced breadcrumbs or smoked eel and carrot salad sit comfortably alongside such classics as souffle suissesse or roast rack of pork with a charcuterie sauce. If you aren’t planning a visit to the UK for a while, but have an interest in sampling the best of that land’s cooking, you could do a lot worse than shell out $... for this book. Of course, the ingredients and the cookware required to do these recipes justice will probably cost about the same as a plane ticket and lunch for two at this outstanding restaurant.

I have used several adaptations of the recipes in this book at work and at home cooking for friends.The recipes are straight forward and don't require an incredible amount of skill. Your personal finesse will decide wiether you can execute them well or not as opposed to your skill level as in the case of most cook books.

Good quick reference guide for emergencies

I carry this in my Banyon emergency kit with all the drugs, AED, etc. Thank God I have never had to use it but its tough plasticized and organized in sections so it can be accessed quickly. Best I've found

Missing and repeated page

This may be an issue with this printing run or my particular item.

I just received my new copy of the 2015 Handbook of Emergency CV Care and several pages are missing, the page numbering goes from 41 to 50 (skipping from Adenosine to Flumazenil in the ACLS Drugs) and continues through pg. 57 before beginning again at page 50, finishing through page 105).
